He is a PGA Class A Member and has been the the Director of Junior Golf at Mariners Point since 1996. He is also a PGA Certified American Model Coach and U.S.Kids Golf Certified Coach. The Players Camp is open to a wide spectrum of ability levels. For children just discovering the game, to the intermediate player who has previous experience. The daily curriculum focuses on putting, chipping, pitching and full swing training which are all integral components of the game. This program also incorporates on-course play in order to understand the entire game of golf.
Introduction to the Game of Golf
• Learn at an early age under the watchful eye of a PGA Golf Instructor
• Basic hand-eye coordination
• Learn how to hold the club and position yourself at address
• Fun putting and chipping games and challenges
• Learn basic manners of golf
Learn the basic swing techniques
• Full swing basics; grip, aim, stance and posture (GASP)
• Use of TopTracer monitor to play fun games and challenges
• Control the direction of your ball
Understand intermediate technique
• Understand the finer points of the short game & full swing
• Build a consistent and powerful swing
• Instruction tailored to individuals skill level
Intermediate on-course play and applying basic rules

• Reading the green, aim and pace of ball
• Apply basic rules i.e. water hazard and your options

Half-Day campers will move through various practice stations focusing on developing fundamental movement skills, coordination, basic golf rules, safety, manners and beginner level golf skills. The goal is to introduce kids to a game that can be enjoyed into adulthood.
