CURRICULUM
A typical day at camp includes instruction, practice, cross-training, and challenging golf games and competitions. Campers are placed into groups of 10 students according to age and ability. Beginner to intermediate players are taught the basic fundamentals of golf. The emphasis is placed on the importance of posture, body alignment and balance. Campers are then taught how to apply these fundamentals to the development of the proper grip and a full golf swing. Lead instructors will work with advanced players to develop a consistant golf swing and to learn mental strategies and course management that can be applied during a round of golf. Chipping greens, sand bunkers and practice putting greens are all used to help facilitate a complete golf game. Safety, rules of the game, sportsmanship and etiquette are all part of the curriculum.
In addition to golf skills development campers have the opportunity to cross-train and enjoy a variety of other outdoor activities carefully selected to improve athletic movements, balance, hand-eye coordination and cardiovascular performance.
Group with friends!
We encourage campers to sign up with siblings and friends because it's fun! To group your child with a friend simply provide the friend's name at the time you enroll.
Extended Care
In Extended Care, campers will practice putting and short game, play table games or watch a movie. The Extended Care camper to staff ratio is 8:1.
